So big!

Summer Fun!

We have been having a blast so far this summer. Lucy has been a huge water machine. She loves the pool that she can slide down. She has started to be adventurous and try coming down the slide in different ways. She also loves her cousin Kyla and tries to make her laugh. Auntie Jen also has three kitties that Lucy thought were great. Only problem was that Lucy is used to being really rough with cats so I don't think they liked it very much. Crazy Kids!

Just some updates of what is going on with the kiddos lately. Kate is now 4 months and Lucy is just getting bigger and bigger. Summer is here and we will be outside as much as possible especially with Lucy and her pool.

Successful Camping Adventure

Our first camping trip was a great success. It took us 2hours to get out the Humptulips river and the car ride went very smooth. Lucy loved the river and especially the rope swing. I was amazed that she was able to do the swing. So we borrowed my in-law's trailer and that was an experience. The first night I had a difficult time sleeping because I was worried about Kate and if she was okay or getting cold. Eventually I brought her into bed with me and that didn't help me sleep either. Kate loved the jumper outside and she did really well the whole time. She actually slept better because of all the fresh air.
The drive back was something that we would like to forget however. Instead of the normal 2hours that it should have taken us, it took us close to 4HOURS to get home. We got stuck in so much traffic it was insane! Lucy was fabulous and we had no issues at all. Kate however just wanted out of her carseat. There was so much crying! After the whole thing we have realized that we need to do more camping trips. Next year should be great because Kate will be walking and Lucy will be able to do so much more.

It's time to go CAMPING!

We are getting everything ready to take our first camping trip as a family. I cannot believe the amount of stuff we have to pack. These girls need so much stuff that I made 4 lists of things that we need to bring. This has been a multiple day process getting everything ready and we are only going for two nights. It should be a lot of fun. We are going to Hoquiam to a piece of property my parents just bought. The property sits on the Humptulips river (horrible name!) and the kids are going to have a great time. There will be lots of pictures and video to come!

So much time!

So this is my official first week of summer vacation. I didn't realize how much time I was going to have to myself. Both kiddos go down for their afternoon nap the same time so I have about 2 hours to myself! This week is crazy because we are getting ready to go on our first camping trip together with the girls. Scary! Thank goodness we are able to borrow the inlaw's trailer. That will make it a little better. We are going to mom and dad's river property to spend the 4th. It should be fun as long as it doesn't rain! There should be a lot of pictures coming from that adventure.

On a work note...I spent the last few weeks getting all of my stuff from my classroom packed up because I will be moving over to Liberty Junior High next year. I am extremely excited. Things just got really out of hand at my old school and this is a positive change. I also got to do all of the ordering for my classroom so I was able to spend about 15K on equipment. Good times!

We introduced Kate to the jumper and the exersaucer recently. She is getting so big! She is still working on her head control but she seems to have found more of her voice because she has been squealing lately. Lucy is just getting bigger and bigger as well as so grown up! The way that she expresses herself and her vocabulary just keep us amazed and laughing sometimes. Now that I have more time on my hands, I will definitely be posting more often as well as taking more pictures!

Zzzzz......

I am sitting in my summer institute classes right now and I should be learning great things but I am bored! I want to start planning my class stuff, but I am having to sit through a class that does not interest me at all. Sleep now.
