And the building continues...
The remodel process is moving along! The next part is to knock down this horrible wall in my kitchen. It separates the rest of the room. We are planning on taking down these walls and making a really nice island to open up the kitchen area. The other two pictures are the addition with insulation done and waiting for drywall. Paint is ready to go and carpet is ordered!

The wall is down!!!!
So we had a very exciting weekend here. Brian and my brother-in-law Zac were able to take down the wall in the house and open it up to the new addition! It is amazing how big the room is going to be. Some minor problems like being able to use lights and outlets in my kitchen are still being worked on, but we are making progress!

Updates on Building...

Weekend Fun!
So the first part of demolition started this weekend with Brian and Zac taking out the chimney and fireplace. Lots of crowbars and sledge-hammers all around. They did a good job at getting everything done and not doing too much damage to the rest of the house. Lucy still loves the "big hole" where the new foundation is going to go. She and Keanan had a good time playing together and they got soooo dirty! We had a good dinner and then bath time for the big kids. Lucy and Keanan were so funny in the tub. They were trying to swim together and throw water all over each other. Kyla is getting so big! I can't believe that she is moving around already. It just makes me think that in a month Kate could be doing the same thing. It was really nice to have the Vawter's over for the day. It has been a while since we got to hang out.

My Garden!
This year has been a little tough on my garden with the rains early on. I was scared that nothing was going to grow but so far it looks okay. I have my beans climbing up the string and hopefully I will have enough to can them. I have about 4 potato plants that are doing well so I should be able to get close to 75 pounds! There is a good amount of carrots coming up and the pumpkins are growing like crazy! They have escaped onto my grass! I did plant lettuce, some herbs and tomatoes but unfortunately they did not do as well as I had hoped. I am starting to get this whole green thumb thing down I think!
