Woohoo!

So my brother-in-law Kyle has been looking for a full-time engineering job for quite a while. He has applied everywhere but with the economy the way that it has been it has been tough. However...he got a job today with Boeing!!!! Yay!!!!

Time for change.

So I decided to switch Lucy to pull-ups and so far so good. We had a lot of luck today and she put all of her pee in the potty. That was day one so we will see, but it would be nice to be done with diapers for her.

Whoa...

So this is what happens when your toddler doesn't take a nap during nap time and plays in her bed. Yikes!

Lucy is 2!!

Today is Lucy's 2nd birthday! She is getting to be such a big girl. We had her party last weekend which was a lot of fun. I don't think Lucy even really knows that it is her birthday:) Things are pretty calm around her for the moment which is soo nice!

Brian and I have decided to look into building on to our current house instead of moving. It is a HUGE process and we have so much to do as well as looking at how much this will cost. If we can do the additions that we want then we will end us staying here for a very long time. That would be awesome!

Kate is doing really good. She is starting to pack on the weight and she is continuing to grow in her personality. We have had some issues with our naptime though. She can easily sleep through noise (thank you Lucy) so when she goes down for a nap it is quiet so she doesn't want to sleep. I have been letting her cry a little to let her know that she needs to sleep and it is slowly working.

There are updated pictures in the photo album if you want to take a look!

Pigtails

These are the best pigtail pictures that we have right now.

Countdown!

My baby is going to be 2 in 5 days! Weird. She is getting to be so big. Her grammar and personality are really starting to develop even more. This week was to first week that she let me put her hair in pig-tails. Oh my gosh she looked so adorable and big! I just sat watching her and was amazed. We are getting ready for her birthday party this saturday. So much to do!

New hobbies

So now that I am home with 2 kiddos I have gotten into a routine of new hobbies. We actually have very jam-packed weeks around here. Monday and Wednesdays we go to Lucy's toddle gym class at the YMCA. Hopefully this will help her with her issues playing with other kids. From there we go to my Chiropractor appointments and them home. Thursdays we have story time at the library where we meet Julie and Bryce so Lucy and Bryce can play. Fridays we make a trip again up to see the chiropractor and whatever other errands we have to run. Pretty much the only day that we don't go out regularly is Tuesdays. You may be asking well what are the hobbies that I was talking about? That's just it...it is anything and everything that has to do with keeping the kiddos happy! I have to say though that one of those things is cooking because Lucy loves to help. Right now I am making a chicken cacciatore. Smells good! We are looking forward to better weather coming up and praying that it will hold for Lucy's 2nd birthday party on the 24th. Kate has been entertaining us lately with her increased amount of smiling and she slept for 6 hours last night which I fully appreciate. That's pretty much it for now!

1 Month Old

So Kate is no officially 1 month old. It seems like time is going by fairly slow compared to when Lucy was born. Kate is starting to stay awake longer which is helping her to sleep longer at night. Brian and I have been amused with her smiling. She smiles in her sleep which makes me think that she id dreaming lovely things. We are getting into part planning mode here for Lucy. She will be 2 at the end of the month. She is getting to be so big. Lately she has been using her imagination to pretend that she is a plane or train or something else.

So much fun!

So Lucy got her first experience with Easter egg hunting. Our church has an Easter Eggstravaganza every year for kids to come and find eggs. Lucy was too cute! She did really well with all of the other kids and she had a blast getting the eggs. At first she just started walking through them and not picking them up. Brian showed her what she was supposed to do and she took care of the rest. I am hoping that these kinds of events will help Lucy with her fears of other adults as well as being able to play with other kids.
