Weekend Fun!

So the first part of demolition started this weekend with Brian and Zac taking out the chimney and fireplace. Lots of crowbars and sledge-hammers all around. They did a good job at getting everything done and not doing too much damage to the rest of the house. Lucy still loves the "big hole" where the new foundation is going to go. She and Keanan had a good time playing together and they got soooo dirty! We had a good dinner and then bath time for the big kids. Lucy and Keanan were so funny in the tub. They were trying to swim together and throw water all over each other. Kyla is getting so big! I can't believe that she is moving around already. It just makes me think that in a month Kate could be doing the same thing. It was really nice to have the Vawter's over for the day. It has been a while since we got to hang out.

Harley Kiddos!

My Garden!

This year has been a little tough on my garden with the rains early on. I was scared that nothing was going to grow but so far it looks okay. I have my beans climbing up the string and hopefully I will have enough to can them. I have about 4 potato plants that are doing well so I should be able to get close to 75 pounds! There is a good amount of carrots coming up and the pumpkins are growing like crazy! They have escaped onto my grass! I did plant lettuce, some herbs and tomatoes but unfortunately they did not do as well as I had hoped. I am starting to get this whole green thumb thing down I think!

Woodland Park Zoo

So we decided to go to the Woodland Park Zoo last weekend with Brian's parents. Lucy is pretty big on the animals so we thought it would be a good idea. She had a good time. Even though she had a cold she walked almost the entire way through the zoo and looked at all the animals. She really enjoyed feeding the birds as well as the monkeys. Kate did great as well. She slept for a little while but was is a good mood the whole time. Enjoy the pictures!

Love It!

So this week I was able to start moving into my new classroom at my new school. It is awesome! I found most of my new equipment all packed up on 4 pallets about 4 ft tall. I moved so many boxes on Tuesday! My job now is to finish unpacking the boxes, inventory the stuff, put it away, and collapse the enormous pile of empty boxes. I am loving that I have new stuff but this is a huge job and so little time to get it all done.
We are making a little progress on the addition. Brian used a crane to move the shed and hopefully we will have our permits soon and get the excavation started. I really didn't think that permits would take so long but this is a learning process too!
The girls are getting huge! Lucy's vocabulary is getting bigger and bigger. She is asking actual questions and putting more concepts together. Kate is using her hands a lot more and hopefully she will be sitting up soon.

Almost There!

Well it has been a while since I have posted. There hasn't been much happening around here lately. We enjoyed our 2nd camping trip to Rife Lake with the Vawters a while back. It was a good time. Lucy actually went in the lake! Once on her own at the swimming hole and again when we were on the boat. Brian took a picture...Ignore the woman with her!
We are trying to get started on the addition to the house. Brian has taken down the fence and we are hopefully going to get the hole dug soon. Once we get the permits back we can get the foundation done and Brian can start building! It will be fabulous when it is done and I am extremely excited.
We are almost back to school starting! That gets me really excited. It is going to be a great experience opening a new junior high. Liberty sounds like it will be a great school and the staff has been awesome so far. Not to mention that I get to unpack brand new equipment for my classroom which is awesome! Meetings are starting up and the countdown has started!
