She's 3!!

Our baby is getting so big! So Lucy is officially 3 and it is amazing all of the the things that she is capable of. She love princesses and fairies and especially getting all dressed up. SHe is growing in all of her skills and abilities and is such a big girl!

Easter

We had a great time this Easter. We spent the day with Brian's family over at our house. Even though I am not back to full movement, it was still really nice to have people come to our house. That was one of the reasons that we did the addition, so that we could have that many people around. Lucy loved getting dressed up for Easter. I was happy that both of the girls were good about taking pictures.
Earlier Lucy got to do an Easter egg hunt at the church. She had a great time.

Updates

So it has been along time since I have posted and so much has been going on. So I guess we will start with me. I finally had my double knee surgery on the 29th of March. They did a large clean-up of the bones, cartilage, and fluid surrounding my knees. I was stuck in the hospital for 5 days and then got released. I actually wanted to stay in the rehab program at the hospital but it was full. I am pretty much confined to the downstairs couch. I have a machine called a CPM that increases the degree that it will bend my knee. So far I am at 65 degrees. The goal is to get up to 140 degrees.

Kate has been moving so much lately. She knows how to walk but she is choosing not to. She is stubborn. She will be having a minor surgery March 19. She will be put to sleep and they are going to insert a probe into her tear duct to try and get it cleared up. We have all kinds of medical issues over here. Lucy has been doing really good. She is getting more and more creative and hilarious. She is so ready for the summer when we get to go camping and swimming in the pool.

Decisions, decisions!

So I had an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon today because my knees have been getting worse and worse. After taking new xrays, the surgeon asked me about total knee replacements. He showed me the xrays and went over how bad my knees really are. Your knees should be rounded and smooth. My knees are pointed, jagged and shaped odd. According to the doctor they are about 90 years old even though I am only 28. The surgeon wants to do an arthroscopic surgery on them first. That will clean them up and the recovery is about 2 weeks. The problem with that is that it only lasts for 5-10 years and then my knees will get just as bad as they are now. The alternative is the total knee replacements. The recovery is around 6 weeks but the outcome should be awesome. I am not sure what way we are going to go yet, but I think we are leaning more towards the knee replacements because I can't remember the last time that my knees were anywhere close to 100%.

Bellingham Trip

So we found out that Kate really like sour cream! She could not get enough of the sour cream on my plate and the rice on my dad's plate. As you can see she was extremely happy! We went up to Bellingham for the weekend to celebrate my brother's birthday and the fact that he is now out of the military. Lucy loved to hangout with Toby and overall we had a pretty good time.

It's been a while...

So it has been a while since I have posted so there is a lot to catch up on. We will start with Christmas. Santa was so good to the girls this year. Lucy got her pillow pet and so much Tinkerbell stuff. She has been sleeping with her new Tinkerbell sleeping bag every since Christmas! Kate wasn't really aware of what was going on but she sure had fun playing with the wrapping paper and bows. Brian and I love our Christmas present ( the addition). We are getting so much use out of having more space.
Kate had her 10 month checkup this last week and she weighs 20lbs and 28 inches long. She is in the 90th percentile for everything! She is following suit with Lucy. Lucy has been wanting to go to the doctor for anything lately but once we got there she didn't say a word. Lucy, Kate, and Brian all got their flu shots and everyone did really good.
Not much else is going on around here. I have started a class called Booty Camp and it is awesome. However I pushed my knees a little too far on the first workout and one is pretty swollen. Brian has also decided that he needs to get better in shape. We are doing more upgrades to the house as time allows.
